6 Things…

I got tagged by The Literate Housewife to write 6 random things about myself, so here it goes:

1. I am a descendant of Patrick Henry, Mr. “Give me liberty, or give me death,” although some people think he didn’t actually say that…

2. I moved to Chicago for a two year commitment having never been there before.

3. I have actually become more neurotic, etc. about books since joining LibraryThing.

4. I am so over Jodi Picoult. I am SO so over her, in fact, that I listed pretty much all of her books I own on BookMooch and am sending most of them out at lunch today.

5. I have two cats named Zack and Ellie

6. Most of my good friends in college called me “Nen” instead of “Jen”, and then one of them decided to start calling me “THE Nen” and it quite caught on.Ā  I’m still not sure why.

Hey, Patrick Henry is really big here in Virginia. One of the big city high schools is named after him. As much as accuracy should be important, it seems that it’s more important what people think you said and did… šŸ˜‰

  2. kegsoccer Says:

Right there with you on number three…. LibraryThing has if anything, made my obsession with books worse!

  3. Melody Says:

    I posted my randomness…

  4. kegsoccer Says:

I see you just added “Vlad the Impaler” to your library… It looks interesting, you’ll have to let me know how it is šŸ™‚

  5. Devourer of Books Says:

Usually that “added to library” isn’t so accurate, because it includes books I put onto my wishlist (I’m not a catalog purist until we get ‘collections’), but I did buy that at Half Price Books the other day, so I’ll let you know!

  6. chartroose Says:

I NEVER liked Jodi Picoult. I tried reading some book she wrote about an Amish-like girl who murdered her baby. It was terrible. and the writing was horrendous! I haven’t touched her since.

  7. Author Meme and Catch Up « Devourer of Books’ Weblog Says:

[…] also tagged me for the 6 random things meme.Ā  Since I’ve already done that, here’s a link if you want to see it […]
